Lens Research

For my video I ideally would like to be using a vintage prime lens, for the focal points, colour and most importantly low aperture capabilities. The lens I feel would be most appropriate for my filming would be a 35mm Nikkor 1.8f prime. With this lens I would be able to shoot with a low ISO rating, therefore allowing my quality to not be impacted by digital noise or pixelation.

This however all depends on whether I can pick a prime up for a decent price. If i cannot I will be shooting with an 18 - 55 mm 3.5f Nikkor GII lens, a fairly common lens in photography but not ideal for cinematography due to its higher aperture.
